BURNLEY PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR 'HORRIFIC' RAPES OF CHILDREN
Natalie Rabie, 46 years old and a resident of Holcombe Drive in Burnley, received a prison sentence of 20 months after pleading guilty to conspiring to provoke a child under 16 into sexual activity. She was sentenced at the same time as her partner, Simon Richards, who was handed a total of 17 years behind bars for a series of severe sexual offenses involving children.
Richards’s crimes included multiple counts of rape, attempted rape, and the distribution of indecent images.
During police interviews, Richards chose to remain silent.
He has been classified as a dangerous offender and will be subject to lifelong inclusion on the Sex Offenders Register.
Both individuals will also be subject to lifelong sexual harm prevention orders and restraining orders to prevent any contact with the victims.
Richards’s sentence consisted of nine years for offences against one victim and an additional eight years for crimes committed against a second victim, with both sentences to be served consecutively.
The investigation conducted by Surrey Police revealed the scope of Richards’s offending within Surrey.
He was initially arrested in June 2023 after authorities discovered sexual communications and indecent images shared with a victim.
The judge highlighted the grooming nature of Richards’s actions and expressed concern about the danger he presents to children, stating that it is a relief he is now imprisoned under strict, lifelong conditions.
