WOMAN PRAISED BY SHERIFF FOR REMORSE AFTER ASSAULT IN IRVINE
A WOMAN who assaulted her ex-partner has been praised by a sheriff for being "very remorseful".
Nadine Anderson, of no fixed abode, previously admitted to assaulting her ex by repeatedly slapping him on the head, scratching his face and body, and biting his finger on February 16 this year in Irvine's Girdle Toll.
She also admitted acting in an aggressive manner towards her ex by swearing, uttering offensive remarks, and making threats of violence.
Anderson, aged 49, had been placed on a structured deferred sentence, and her solicitor Peter Murray informed the court that his client arrived with a "very positive report" and had not offended further.
Sheriff Nicola Patrick commented, "You are clearly very remorseful, that is patently obvious.
It is an excellent report, and you have taken advantage of the support offered to you." The sheriff then continued Anderson's structured deferred sentence to a further date.
