NADEEM HUSSAIN SENTENCED TO 21 YEARS IN WAKEFIELD FOR MULTIPLE RAPE OFFENCES AGAINST TEENAGE GIRLS
A man from Wakefield has been handed a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of serious sexual offences involving two teenage girls.Nadeem Hussain, aged 46 and formerly residing on Regent Street in Wakefield, was found guilty after a comprehensive four-week trial held at Grimsby Crown Court.
Hussain was convicted on four counts of rape and one count of assault by penetration, charges that stemmed from his abuse of two young victims aged 16 and 17 at the time of the offences.
The court sentenced him today to 21 years in prison, a punishment that reflects the gravity of his crimes.
In addition to his prison term, Hussain was subjected to a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
This order imposes strict restrictions on his conduct upon release, aiming to prevent any further harm and to protect the community from potential reoffending.
The case was the result of a detailed and complex investigation conducted over two years by Wakefield District’s Child Vulnerable to Exploitation Team (CVET).
Detective Sergeant Kirsty Senior, a representative of CVET, emphasized the manipulative tactics Hussain employed, stating, “Hussain groomed his victims over a lengthy period of time, plying them with heroin and crack cocaine to enable his sexual offending.” She further described the victims as vulnerable teenage girls who were exploited by Hussain’s predatory behavior.
“The sentence he has been given reflects the fact he is a dangerous offender who deserves to be behind bars,” she added.
Sergeant Senior acknowledged the resilience of the victims, noting, “His victims have shown immense courage throughout this criminal justice process.
They have been supported from the outset by specially trained safeguarding officers.” She also highlighted the importance of community vigilance, urging anyone with concerns or knowledge of child sexual exploitation to come forward.
“I would urge anyone who has been the victim of child sexual exploitation or has concerns for a child to please report it so that we can safeguard the victim, protect others from harm and ensure perpetrators are made to face responsibility for their actions.”
