BRIDLINGTON MAN JAILED FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGERS
A man from East Yorkshire, described as 'perverted', has been sentenced to prison after sexually abusing two teenage boys over a span of 12 years.Morris Dixon faced seven charges related to historic sexual offenses against the two victims.
After a week-long trial at Hull Crown Court, the 81-year-old resident of Cliff Street in Bridlington was convicted by a jury of two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a minor, two counts of oral rape, and three counts of indecent assault, all involving teenage boys.
He received an 11-year prison sentence and will be registered as a sex offender for life.
Following the sentencing, Detective Constable Megan Witty, who led the inquiry for Humberside Police, commended the victims for their courage, saying, “Dixon will serve a lengthy prison sentence thanks to their strength and bravery in speaking out about what happened when they were teenagers.” She also noted that the victims had been supportive and patient during the investigation and stressed the importance of reporting sexual offenses, regardless of victim age, gender, or when the crimes took place.
