COWDENBEATH MAN SENTENCED AFTER ASSAULTING PARTNER AND ATTACKING POLICE OFFICER
A man from Cowdenbeath, Michael Traynor, aged 35, of Copeland Crescent, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and admitted to assaulting his partner by repeatedly pushing her, causing her to fall to the ground, and punching her on the head, resulting in injury.
The incident occurred on 17th June last year at Beechbank Crescent, Kelty.
Traynor also attempted to headbutt a police officer during the incident.
The police reported that Traynor was 'heavily intoxicated' at the time.
His defence solicitor stated that 'the relationship is now over and he’s had no contact with her.' The court sentenced him to a community payback order with 100 hours of unpaid work and imposed a two-year non-harassment order.
