CHILD RAPIST RELEASED INTO COMMUNITY AFTER SERVING HALF OF 16-YEAR SENTENCE
A convicted child rapist who was jailed for 16 years after offences involving a child victim has been released back into the community under licence supervision.Martin Swift, formerly of Ellesmere Port, was sentenced at Chester Crown Court for serious child sex offences, including the rape of a minor.
Information provided to Red Rose UK states that Swift, born on 24 August 1971, received a 16-year prison sentence but served approximately eight years before being released on licence.
Official Ministry of Justice correspondence seen by Red Rose UK confirms that Swift currently remains “on licence in the community.” The document, issued through the Victim Contact Scheme and dated May 2024, states that his licence period is expected to continue until May 2031.
Authorities have not publicly disclosed his current location, although it is understood he no longer resides in Ellesmere Port.
