MARTIN AINSBURY'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN BUCKLEY: UNDERCOVER POLICE TRAP REVEALS DISTURBING PREDATOR BEHAVIOR

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Buckley, Flintshire, Martin Ainsbury faced justice in Mold Crown Court after a disturbing series of online interactions with a girl he believed was just 13 years old. The incident unfolded over several months, during which Ainsbury engaged in explicit conversations and attempted to coerce the girl into sharing indecent images and participating in inappropriate activities.

Prosecutor Jemma Gordan outlined the details of the case, revealing that Ainsbury, 29 years old and a father of two, had created an account on the Kik social media platform under the alias “Marvin Biggy.” It was through this account that he encountered what he thought was a teenage girl named Beth. In reality, Beth was an undercover police officer monitoring online predators.

The court heard that the communication began on April 19 of the previous year. Ainsbury initially claimed to be a 20-year-old man from Chester and quickly moved to request photographs from Beth, despite being fully aware of her age. Over the following days, he persistently badgered her for more images, sharing indecent pictures of himself in the process. His requests grew increasingly explicit, culminating in him asking Beth to “strip for me” and assuring her that their exchanges could remain private to avoid trouble, adding a casual “lol” to his message.

Further into the conversations, Ainsbury attempted to arrange a “naughty video call,” suggesting that Beth could “show her wild side off” to him. The planning for this illicit interaction continued on Snapchat, where he inquired if she had any toys for their supposed call, accompanied by a winking emoji. After three unsuccessful attempts to initiate a video call, Ainsbury grew impatient, dismissing Beth as a “waste of time” and ceasing all contact.

His arrest came weeks later at the farm where he works in Buckley. The police investigation uncovered that Ainsbury had a prior conviction from 2015 for a sexual offence involving a child, for which he served just over two years in prison. This previous conviction was considered a significant aggravating factor during sentencing.

Judge Niclas Parry delivered the sentence, emphasizing the gravity of Ainsbury’s actions. He stated, “Over a period of four months, once again, you put your desire for sexual gratification at the expense of children above all else. Despite knowing the risks from previous experience, and having previously completed an extensive intervention programme, you went ahead and persistently harassed what you genuinely believed was a 13-year-old girl.”

The judge condemned the defendant’s blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of children, highlighting that his behavior demonstrated a selfish attitude with little regard for the consequences. The seriousness of the case was compounded by his prior conviction and the persistent nature of his offending.

While Ainsbury was sentenced to a year in prison, the judge chose to suspend this sentence for two years, considering the impact on his three innocent children and former partner who depend on his income. Additionally, he was ordered to undertake a demanding 45-day rehabilitation program and complete 250 hours of unpaid community work.

Furthermore, a new sexual harm prevention order was imposed, prohibiting him from being in the same household as a girl under 16 without social services’ approval for the next ten years. The order also mandates that police be informed of any devices he uses that can access the internet, aiming to prevent further offending and protect potential victims in the future.
