MONTROSE MAN MARK MCROBBIE ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER AFTER POSSESSING INDECENT IMAGES AND BESTIALITY MATERIALS
In a case that has shocked the community of Montrose, Angus, 38-year-old Mark McRobbie has been placed on the sex offenders register following his admission to possessing a range of disturbing and illegal images.The proceedings took place at Forfar, where Sheriff Gregor Murray presided over the case.
McRobbie, who resides on Houghton Drive in Montrose, appeared before the court to face multiple serious charges.
The indictment alleged that between November 2009 and January 2014, at his residence, he was found in possession of indecent images or pseudo-images of children.
These images are considered highly illegal and are associated with severe penalties due to their exploitative nature.
In addition to this, McRobbie pleaded guilty to creating or allowing the creation of photographs or pseudo-photos of children during the period from November 2009 to December 2013.
This indicates a pattern of disturbing behavior involving the exploitation of minors, which has prompted significant concern from law enforcement and the community alike.
Further charges revealed that between March 2011 and January 2014, also at his home in Montrose, McRobbie possessed pornographic images depicting adult females engaged in sexual acts with animals.
Such material, classified as bestiality images, is illegal and considered a serious offense due to its nature and the potential harm involved.
Following the guilty pleas, Sheriff Murray decided to defer sentencing until January 15, 2015, to allow for a comprehensive report to be prepared.
The court also ordered that McRobbie be subject to notification requirements under the sex offenders register for an unspecified period, which will be determined upon his next court appearance.
McRobbie was granted bail, allowing him to remain free until the sentencing hearing.
The case has raised alarm within the Montrose community, highlighting the importance of vigilant law enforcement and judicial processes in addressing such grave offenses.
