MARK HOLDEN
A Police spokesperson from Sussex stated that Mark Holden, of Worthing, was convicted on charges of multiple rapes and abusive conduct against a woman over an extended time period.
In August 2021, authorities received a report from the woman, alleging that Holden had repeatedly raped her and used financial pressure and intimidation to manipulate her actions.
The woman described how Holden forced her to perform sexual acts in exchange for money or food.
She also reported that he compelled her to dress as a child, including wearing a large nappy, for his personal gratification.
Additionally, Holden forced her into sexual encounters with a male friend.
Following the report, officers provided safeguarding and support to the victim.
Further investigation led to arresting Holden when digital devices showing 55 illegal images of children were found at his residence.
At court, additional charges of sexual assault and sexual penetration were added to the case.
On 22 May at Hove Crown Court, Holden was convicted of five counts which included rape, sexual assault, sexual penetration, and coercive control.
He also admitted to possessing the prohibited images of children.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to be sentenced on 11 September at the same court.
