MARK FRASER BRANDED ‘EVERY PARENT’S WORST NIGHTMARE’ AFTER PAISLEY SEX OFFENDER AVOIDS JAIL
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Paisley, Mark Fraser, an individual from Mains Wood, has been at the center of a serious criminal investigation involving the solicitation of a minor.Fraser was caught engaging in a series of highly inappropriate and sexually explicit messages with someone he believed to be a 10-year-old girl.
These messages, which were of an indecent nature, included disturbing discussions about the sexual abuse of young children, revealing a troubling pattern of predatory behavior.
In November 2024, Fraser admitted to sending these messages to an undercover police officer who was posing as a young girl.
During the court proceedings, Fraser openly expressed his views on the age of 10, describing it as a “cute” and “sexy” age.
He also claimed to have engaged in sexual activities with a young girl living nearby in his local area, further highlighting the severity of his actions and the danger he posed to the community.
The Paisley Sheriff Court heard detailed accounts of Fraser’s conduct, including how he sexually described the young girl’s body and made explicit comments about her private parts.
Such revelations underscored the malicious intent behind his communications and the grave threat he represented.
When Fraser was sentenced in December, Sheriff Gillian Craig addressed the court, noting that Fraser had been advised to avoid incarceration.
Instead of jail time, Fraser was ordered to complete 195 hours of unpaid community work.
Additionally, he was placed under supervision for a period of three years, with a requirement to participate in the ‘Moving Forward for Change’ programme, which is designed to provide treatment and rehabilitation for individuals convicted of sexual offences.
Furthermore, Fraser was mandated to register as a sex offender for three years, a measure intended to monitor and manage his potential risk to the public.
