HEAVILY PREGNANT MUM STRANGLED WITH IPHONE CABLE AND BATTERED BY SERIAL THUG
A Scots mum has told how her violent ex battered her "black and blue" and strangled her with an iPhone cable while she was heavily pregnant with their child.Evil Steven Manson, 29, subjected Kirsty Nealis, 27, to a horrific campaign of domestic abuse between 2019 and 2024.
The thug launched multiple frenzied attacks throughout their relationship, including during her 36 weeks of pregnancy.
On February 9, Manson admitted engaging in a course of behaviour where he repeatedly battered Kirsty, threatened her, kicked her down stairs, held a scissors against her neck, and strangled her.
He also admitted seizing her by the neck, knocking her to the ground, and smashing her head across furniture.
Manson, who escaped a jail sentence in 2019 after throttling another ex-partner, remains in custody and is to be sentenced at Paisley Sheriff Court next month.
During one violent rampage, he wrapped an iPhone cable around Kirsty's neck and strangled her.
He also brandished a knife and threatened her.
After their baby was born, the violence escalated, leading her to end their relationship.
Kirsty expressed fears that Manson could kill her, describing how she finally managed to escape after he locked her inside her home, dragged her by the leg down stairs, pulled a blade to her throat, and terrorized her.
She managed to call for help the next day, and he was detained.
She has since been diagnosed with complex PTSD.
Manson has a record of attacking women, including another ex-girlfriend in 2019, when he pinned her by the throat at a carpet shop, and was fined £100 and ordered to unpaid work.
Kirsty says she feels "lucky to be alive" and believes he will re-offend.
She emphasizes the importance of seeking help, providing contact details for abuse support organizations.
