SCOTS GP ADMITS STALKING EX-PATIENT COUPLE AND ACCESSING MEDICAL RECORDS
A Scottish general practitioner who repeatedly visited the homes and workplaces of former patients has confessed to accessing medical records without their permission and sending unwanted gifts and money.Jeyasingh, who resides on Main Street in Dunfermline, frequently appeared at various addresses uninvited, entered Islay Crescent in Paisley without approval, and continuously sent messages, videos, photos, and unsolicited gifts to a man.
Over more than three years, she sent approximately £30,000 in cash, hobby-related presents, and religious messages.
On one occasion, she was caught standing at the foot of the couple’s bed.
Additionally, she accessed their medical records 115 times without authorization.
Jeyasingh acknowledged that her conduct from March 2020 to August 2023 caused fear or distress.
Sentencing is scheduled after the completion of background reports and an assessment of her suitability for a restrictions of liberty order on June 15.
Her bail is expected to remain in place until that time.
