SKELMERSDALE MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR UPLOADING CHILD INDECENT IMAGES
Mark Davies, a 36-year-old registered sex offender, was sentenced to 22 months in prison after admitting to multiple offenses involving indecent images of children. He used social media platforms Snapchat and Discord to upload hundreds of such images.
These crimes occurred shortly after Davies had been released from prison for the sexual assault of a child.
Lancaster Police arrested him in July 2024, seizing his mobile phone, and he was sent back to prison.
Further investigation linked him to additional accounts uploading indecent images of children during periods when he was on police bail, including in May 2025.
Davies pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court and was sentenced to 22 months, also receiving an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and being registered as a sex offender for 10 years.
Detective Constable Pippa Jackson welcomed the sentence, stating, “I welcome the prison sentence which has been imposed on Mark Davies for his abhorrent behaviour.
Davies poses a serious risk to the public with his offending, and our team's work has prevented him from committing further crimes.”
