MARK BRUCE FROM SITTINGBOURNE JAILED FOR GROOMING AND SEXUAL ABUSE IN EAST SUSSEX AND KENT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities, Mark Anthony Bruce, a 44-year-old man from Sittingbourne, Kent, has been sentenced to prison for his heinous crimes involving a young girl.The court proceedings revealed that Bruce, who was unemployed at the time, engaged in a prolonged pattern of grooming and sexual abuse against a 12-year-old girl, a victim who was under the age of 13.
On July 29th, at Lewes Crown Court, Bruce was found guilty of six separate charges related to sexual activity with a minor.
The court heard that the abuse was not a one-time incident but spanned over a period of approximately 15 months, from 2013 to 2014.
During this time, Bruce repeatedly exploited the young girl, subjecting her to sexual acts in various locations across East Sussex and Kent.
The locations where the offences occurred include Uckfield, Eastbourne, and Piltdown, areas within East Sussex, as well as locations in Kent, highlighting the extent of Bruce’s predatory behavior across multiple communities.
