SITTINGBOURNE MAN JAILED FOR GROOMING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT OF YOUNG GIRLS
A Sittingbourne man, Bradley Kite, who engaged in a series of heinous crimes including sexually assaulting young girls and manipulating them into believing he was their boyfriend, has been sentenced to nearly 18 years in prison.It was revealed that Kite took the victims shopping for expensive presents before abusing them sexually.
Appearing at Maidstone Crown Court, Kite admitted to 13 offences, which included multiple counts of sexual activity with a child, sexual assault of a child, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
In addition, a jury found the 42-year-old guilty of assaulting another girl, which he previously denied.
Detective Constable Daniel Alai described Kite as a dangerous offender who had preyed on vulnerable teenage girls.
Kite was arrested on June 27, 2024, after one of his victims alerted a family member about the abuse.
Following this, an investigation involving specialist Kent Police detectives uncovered additional victims.
During the abuse, Kite manipulated one girl into believing he was her boyfriend, sending her sexualized messages and gifting her money and jewelry.
He was sentenced to 17 years and nine months in prison and was issued a 25-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Additionally, Kite will be on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Detective Alai emphasized that Kite had manipulated and abused young girls for his own gratification, and the case's outcome provides further protection to potential future victims.
