MARIUS SADAUKAS SHAMES CHILDREN IN PWWLLHELI SCHOOL PLAYGROUND

In July 2019, a disturbing incident occurred at a school playground in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, involving a man who committed an act of public indecency that shocked the local community. The individual, identified as Marius Sadaukas, a 26-year-old Lithuanian resident of Potts Street, Pwllheli, was involved in an incident near the grounds of Ysgol Glan-y-Mor.

According to reports, Sadaukas approached a group of children who were engaged in a game of football within the school’s outdoor area. Despite their refusal to allow him to join, Sadaukas proceeded to commit a highly inappropriate act. He dropped his trousers and exposed his buttocks to the children, an act that caused alarm among witnesses and school staff alike.

Following the incident, teachers at Ysgol Glan-y-Mor quickly responded by informing the police and taking measures to ensure the safety of the children. A school staff member observed Sadaukas and another individual walking towards the town centre shortly after the event. The teacher also witnessed Sadaukas urinating in the street, further indicating his inappropriate behavior during the incident.

Law enforcement officers detained Sadaukas later that day and conducted an interview. During questioning, he admitted to the act of exposure but claimed that the children had verbally abused him beforehand. Despite this, he accepted responsibility for exposing himself in the public space.

At a magistrates’ court hearing in Caernarfon, Sadaukas pleaded guilty to the charge of exposure, which included the act of dropping his trousers and exposing his buttocks. The court acknowledged the seriousness of the offense, especially given the presence of children and the nature of the conduct. Magistrates decided that a pre-sentence report was necessary to determine appropriate sentencing, citing the incident’s aggravating factors.

Bench chairman Janet Owen emphasized the gravity of the case, stating, “These are very serious matters with several aggravating factors. To assist the sentence we are ordering an all-options report.” The case was adjourned until August 20, and Sadaukas was granted bail pending sentencing. The incident has raised concerns among parents and residents in Pwllheli, highlighting the importance of safeguarding children in public spaces and the need for strict legal consequences for such misconduct.
