91-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED WITH 32 SEX OFFENCES OVER HALIFAX CHILDREN'S HOME ABUSE
A man and a woman are set to appear in court charged with a number of sex offences following a police investigation into a children's home in Halifax.Malcolm Phillips, 91, of Tyseley in Birmingham, has been charged with 32 offences including rape, indecent assault, gross indecency, and aiding an abetting an unknown male to commit indecent assault.
The charges relate to seven victims.
Linda Brunning, 65, of Sowerby Bridge, is also charged with 15 offences including indecent assault and aiding and abetting sexual offending.
West Yorkshire Police states that the offences are believed to have occurred from the 1970s to the 1990s and the charges are a result of an investigation launched in 2018 into child sexual abuse at Skircoat Lodge Children's Home in Halifax.
Both individuals are scheduled to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Malcolm Phillips is accused of multiple sexual offences, including rape, indecent assault, gross indecency, and assisting another male in committing indecent assault.
He is linked to seven victims and faces a total of 32 charges.
Linda Brunning faces 15 charges involving three victims, including indecent assault and aiding sexual offences.
