MAHAD HUSSEIN FROM HOVE SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS FOR RAPE IN BRIGHTON
In a case that has shocked the local community, Mahad Hussein, a resident of Copenhagen Place in Tower Hamlets, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of raping a woman in Brighton.The incident took place during a night out in the popular south-coast city, and Hussein’s actions have led to a significant legal consequence.
According to court records, the assault occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January 15.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, was walking along Ship Street when she was approached by Hussein.
The two had met earlier that evening, but the encounter took a dark turn when Hussein proceeded to commit the assault.
The court heard that Hussein viewed his victim as a “piece of meat,” a disturbing detail that underscored his apparent lack of regard for her well-being or consent during the attack.

Hussein was arrested on January 21 and subsequently charged with two counts of rape.

The court, presided over at Hove Crown Court, sentenced Hussein to 13 years in prison on June 13.
