DANIEL CURTIS FROM HOVE SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL OFFENSES
In July 2021, Daniel Curtis, a resident of Hove, was sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offences.The case came to light following the discovery of explicit images stored on an electronic device linked to Curtis, which played a significant role in the proceedings.
Daniel Curtis, aged 39 and residing on Goldstone Way in Hove, faced a series of charges related to his assault on an 18-year-old woman.
The offences included three counts of rape, seven counts of sexual assault by touching, and one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without their consent.
Curtis pleaded guilty to all charges, acknowledging his involvement in these criminal acts.
Following his conviction, Curtis was sentenced to serve a total of eight years in prison.
The court also mandated that he be registered as a sex offender indefinitely, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities post-release.
Additionally, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed, which will remain in effect until further court order.
This order imposes strict limitations on Curtis’s access to women and communication devices, aiming to prevent any further offences and protect the community.
