2002: BOLTON MAN JAILED FOR ASSAULT ON PARTNER AFTER VIOLENT OUTBURST
2002; Lloyd Burt erupted in a violent rage and struck his partner after discovering that she had not dressed or fed their daughter, a court heard.During the incident, Burt kicked over furniture, exhibited abusive behavior, and accused Linda Helmsley of being an unfit mother.
In a subsequent altercation, Burt seized his partner by the throat, threatening her with death and claiming he had acquired a knife specifically for her.
The 32-year-old resident of Bury Road, Bolton, was sentenced to eight months in prison by Bolton Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault against Helmsley and a charge under Section 4 of the Public Order Act.
The court was told that Burt’s relationship with Helmsley had deteriorated after their child was born.
He has three other children with different partners.
Burt became aggressive upon arriving to see his daughter and realizing she was neither dressed nor fed, punching Helmsley once and saying she should have prepared the baby's bottle.
In the second incident, he choked Helmsley and pushed her backward.
His criminal history includes previous assaults on a former partner, burglary, and drug possession.
