KENDAL MAN CAUGHT WITH EXTREME PORN AND BREACHING COURT ORDER IN KENDAL
A Kendal man named Lewis Marler, aged 40, was prosecuted for multiple offences related to sexual harm.He admitted to possessing a brief three-second video classified as extreme pornography, which depicted sexual activity between a man and a cow.
His legal issues stemmed from previous convictions in 2017 for possessing extreme images and pseudo-child indecent images.
The new offences were uncovered during a police visit when officers discovered two internet-enabled devices, including an iPad and a TV box, covered in dust and tucked under a bed, which Marler had forgotten about.
The failure to report these devices was deemed a breach of his sex offender notification requirements.
According to his defense, the only substantive offence was the possession of the extreme image, which was a spoof video shared unintentionally on a work-related WhatsApp group.
Marler, who has been fully compliant with his previous orders for over eight years and recently diagnosed with autism, expressed remorse and indicated his desire to live quietly and constructively with his partner.
The court sentenced him to a 12-month community order, including five rehabilitation activity days and 120 hours of unpaid work.
