DRUG DEALER WHO WAVED KNIFE AT EX-PARTNER JAILED
A drug dealer who threw a glass at a man's head in a nightclub and waved a knife at his ex-girlfriend and her mother has been jailed for four years and eight months.Kyle Wright, 25, was caught with cannabis and ketamine when police searched his address in October 2024.
Court evidence showed he had been dealing drugs regularly for 10 months prior to his arrest and was using his former girlfriend's bank account to receive payments.
Police found over £3,686 worth of cannabis resin, £2,766 of cannabis bush, and ketamine valued between £9,724 and £12,155 during a raid at his girlfriend’s family home.
Wright had messaged about a drugs debt, threatening violence, and had others selling drugs for him, indicating he was not at the bottom of the supply chain.
He also attacked a man in a nightclub by throwing a glass and waved a knife at his ex-girlfriend and her mother when they tried to retrieve her bank card.
Wright pleaded guilty to multiple charges including drug supply, possession, bodily harm, threatening behaviour, and possession of a knife in a public place.
He has a prior record of violence and breaches of drugs-related sentences.
The judge noted he showed 'no remorse' for his actions and his drug dealing caused innocent people to be detained.
