MIDDLESBROUGH MAN SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR ASSAULT AND PROPERTY DAMAGE
A man named Kyle Williams, aged 33, was involved in an assault at a home in Middlesbrough on Sunday, September 29.
During the confrontation, Williams pushed a woman to the ground and struck her in the face multiple times, causing persistent eye injuries including a suspected fracture to the orbital floor.
The attack left the woman with a black eye and facial bruising.
Following the assault, Williams damaged property by smashing a television and throwing objects around the premises.
The woman reported the incident to police the next day, prompting an investigation by Cleveland Police’s Domestic Abuse Unit.
Williams was arrested and formally charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
He admitted guilt in court on Tuesday, December 17, and received a sentence of 40 months in prison at Teesside Crown Court.
PC Keane, the investigating officer, commented, “This was an extremely upsetting incident for the victim, who was left frightened for her safety.
I hope today’s ruling offers her some measure of closure.”
