KRZYSZTOF MUSIAL JAILED FOR THREATS AND ASSAULT IN DOMESTIC ABUSE CASE
A Nottinghamshire man, Krzysztof Musial, was sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges including making threats to kill and rape his partner, possession with intent to supply cannabis, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.During the hearing, a three-hour-long audio recording was played in court, revealing Musial threatening to kill and rape his partner while their three-year-old son was present, as the child shouted 'mummy, mummy.' The recording also captured Musial attacking his victim on more than one occasion, with her making the recording during the assault.
Nottingham Crown Court heard that the threats included not only killing but also raping, and occurred over a persistent three-hour period.
Nottinghamshire Police later searched the address, which contained rooms the woman was barred from entering, and found more than half a kilogram of cannabis and foil-lined attic used for growing cannabis.
The court also noted Musial's derogatory comments to his child about his mother, while he was assaulting her.
The victim described her life with Musial as living in fear, feeling traumatized, and being deprived of her ability to work, with her children now happy and free from his influence.
The judge, Stuart Sprawson, emphasized Musial's repeated threats and violence, stating that the recording demonstrated his relentless assault and belittling of the victim.
The defendant was handed a six-year restraining order preventing him from contacting his partner or children.
A decision on deportation remains with the Home Office.
