A detective has commended a victim for their bravery and resilience after a rapist received a sentence of 14 years in prison, with an additional four years on extended licence.
The case began when a woman came forward to authorities, reporting that she had been raped multiple times during 2023.
Kgothatso Ntuli was taken into custody and charged with several offenses, which he denied during his appearance at Teesside Crown Court.
After a trial, the jury convicted him of numerous crimes, including six counts of rape.
On Monday, 30th March, the 29-year-old defendant appeared before the same court to be sentenced.
The judge also issued a lifelong restraining order against Ntuli, who will remain on the Sex Offender’s Register indefinitely.
