KEVIN HARRIMAN FROM SNEYD GREEN CAUGHT FILMING GIRLS AND SEXUALLY ACTING OUT IN PRESTON
In a disturbing incident that took place in Preston, Kevin Harriman, a 38-year-old man from Langdale Crescent in Sneyd Green, was caught engaging in highly inappropriate and illegal behavior late at night. The events unfolded in the early hours of March 26, when a vigilant motorist observed Harriman acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the town center. The witness, who was parked and waiting to give a friend a lift, noticed a man dressed in a red jacket walking in an unusual manner. The motorist recognized Harriman as he had seen him earlier running in front of his vehicle. Concerned about Harriman’s strange behavior, the witness kept a close watch.
According to court reports, Harriman was seen using his mobile phone in a peculiar way, seemingly to film up girls’ skirts as they queued for taxis after a night out. The witness observed Harriman targeting a girl dressed in a short black dress, and he noted that Harriman was walking in a bizarre manner, which raised suspicion.
The situation escalated when Harriman was seen doing the same to another girl near a nightclub. It became clear to the witness that Harriman was attempting to secretly film these young women. The man’s concerns grew as Harriman then entered an alleyway, where he performed a lewd act, further demonstrating his inappropriate behavior.
Following this, Harriman was seen trailing a group of girls to a nearby taxi rank. Not stopping there, he repeated his indecent act in another alley, displaying a pattern of disturbing conduct. The witness promptly contacted the police, providing details of Harriman’s actions.
Harriman, who is a qualified electrician and has a prior conviction for exposure dating back to 2007, was quickly apprehended by law enforcement officers. During questioning, he admitted to consuming cocaine and steroids at the time of the incident. He later pleaded guilty to outraging public decency in court.
In sentencing, the magistrates ordered Harriman to complete 80 hours of unpaid work. The district judge addressed him directly, emphasizing the seriousness of his actions. The judge stated, “You’ve got to take a good hard look at yourself and what you’re doing. It seems you were deliberately and persistently trying to get some form of gratification.”
This case highlights the ongoing concerns about public decency and the importance of vigilant community members in reporting suspicious behavior to authorities to prevent further incidents.
