A man with a military background, Kevin Gilchrist, aged 41 and hailing from Aberdeen, has been handed a seven-year prison sentence after being convicted of serious sexual offenses and assault against a woman in the city. The crimes took place over a troubling period, with the most recent incident occurring on Christmas Day in 2019, when Gilchrist raped a woman at a residence in Aberdeen.
