KEVIN GILCHRIST SENTENCED IN ABERDEEN FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS AND VIOLENCE
A man with a military background, Kevin Gilchrist, aged 41 and hailing from Aberdeen, has been handed a seven-year prison sentence after being convicted of serious sexual offenses and assault against a woman in the city.The crimes took place over a troubling period, with the most recent incident occurring on Christmas Day in 2019, when Gilchrist raped a woman at a residence in Aberdeen.
This heinous act was not isolated; earlier that same year, he had also sexually assaulted the same woman at different locations within Aberdeen, demonstrating a pattern of predatory behavior.
In addition to the sexual assaults, Gilchrist was found guilty of physically assaulting the woman, further compounding the severity of his crimes.
The case was brought before the High Court in Edinburgh, where the sentencing took place.
