MAN ATTEMPTED TO MURDER EX WITH DANCE TROPHY AND KITCHEN KNIFE
Sarah White and Kenneth Wilson had broken up in December 2024 after what the mum describes as “years of abuse and addictions”.On February 25, 2025, as the mum returned home from work as a carer, Wilson forced entry into the property and confronted his former partner.
The 33-year-old was pushed to the floor and repeatedly struck on the head with her daughter’s dancing trophy.
Wilson left Sarah bleeding on the floor before returning with a kitchen knife.
The 36-year-old proceeded to stab the carer eight times as she tried to protect herself with duvets and pillows.

The mum-of-two fought her attacker off before escaping to the street.
Sarah was left with a fractured skull, missing teeth, and stab wounds to the face, arm, and groin area.
Wilson fled the scene to a house in Bellshill.
After being arrested and charged, he pled guilty to attempted murder and carrying out a campaign of coercive and controlling behavior from 2022 to 2025.
Earlier last week, he was jailed for an extended sentence of 11 years, comprising of eight years in custody and three years of supervision upon release.
Sarah posted on social media: “This isn’t an amount of years that will ever be enough for what he has done to me physically and emotionally.
I will never be the same person I was before, on medication for life, suffering with CPTSD, physically not as strong as I was before and having to get counselling for the mental side of this ordeal.
The emotional stress this has had on my whole family is huge.” The mum hopes her story can be used to help other women who are trapped in “toxic” relationships.
She added: “This goes to show you can be with someone for a long time and never know what they are really capable of, and if anyone is in a toxic, abusive, addiction-ridden relationship, it will be the hardest thing to do, but leave for your own sanity and happiness because life really is too short.”
