GALASHIELS MAN WHO ASSAULTED EX-PARTNER HAS SENTENCE DEFERRED
A GALASHIELS man has admitted assaulting a former partner to her injury.Twenty-seven-year-old Keiran White was initially charged with attacking the woman to the danger of her life.
But the Crown accepted a guilty plea to the lesser charge before a jury trial was due to get under way at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
White also admitted failing to meet the needs of an animal by good practice.
A not guilty plea to a domestic-related charge of threatening or abusive behaviour was also accepted.
Sentence was deferred for background reports until June 29 when the case will call at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
