DRUNKEN MUM-OF-SEVEN CAUSES CHAOS IN GRIMSBY SHOP AND FLASHES BREAST AT SHOPKEEPER
A mother of seven, Katie Delatouche, engaged in a drunken rampage at a store in Grimsby, after being asked to leave due to her drunken state. The incident involved her attacking a shopkeeper and exposing herself by flashing her breast.
She, along with her friend Lucie Morris, 27, entered the store at 9.20pm on May 22 and behaved unsteadily on their feet.
The shopkeeper, Andreas Jershov, asked them to leave repeatedly but was met with resistance, as they argued and caused disorder by kicking a display and pushing stock to the floor.
When the shopkeeper attempted to remove them, Delatouche reportedly flashed her breast at him.
She and Morris then swung an advertising sign at the shop's door, smashing glass.
Delatouche admitted to assaulting the shopkeeper, using threatening or abusive words, and damaging a window.
During sentencing, Delatouche was ordered to stay sober for 60 days and fitted with a pioneering ankle tag that monitors alcohol in her sweat.
She was also given five days' rehabilitation.
Morris, who had been drinking since 9.30am that day and was described as a functioning alcoholic, was ordered to attend six months of alcohol treatment, pay a fine, and also received a victim surcharge.
Both were ordered to pay £100 in compensation, £85 in costs, and an equivalent victims' surcharge.
Delatouche expressed remorse, stating she is now on the right track with help from friends and family, and highlighted her responsibilities as a mother.
