2012: WOMAN JAILED FOR KILLING EX-PARTNER AFTER DRIVING OVER HIM IN EVESHAM
A WOMAN has been jailed for the manslaughter of her ex-partner after she drove over him in her car.
Karen Colley, aged 47, of Ash Grove, Evesham, was today jailed for nine years for killing Allan ‘Charlie’ Brown, 44, of Bretforton, near Evesham, in 2010, having been convicted following a trial at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, March 23.
Following a breakdown in their relationship, Mr Brown was staying at a campsite in Mill Lane, Eckington.
In the early hours of October 5 2010, Colley drove drunk to the site to confront him.
This led to an altercation and following dangerous driving on the site by Colley, Mr Brown was dragged under the wheels of her car.
He died four days later in hospital from crush injuries.
Colley also pleaded guilty to drink driving and having no vehicle insurance.
Today she was also given a 10-year driving ban and sentenced to three months imprisonment for the drink-driving offence, to run concurrently.
