JETMIR TOPUZI SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR SEXUAL OFFENSE IN WORCESTER
Jetmir Topuzi, a 25-year-old man, has been convicted and sentenced to prison for a serious sexual offense that took place on July 13, 2021.Initially pleading not guilty, Topuzi was ultimately found guilty at Worcester Crown Court and was sentenced to 10 years behind bars on September 15.
Alongside his prison term, he has been issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and is now listed on the Sexual Harm Register.
West Mercia Police described Topuzi as a "dangerous individual" and thanked the victim and supporters for their vital role in the investigation.
A police spokesperson stated: "A 25-year-old man has been given a 10-year custodial sentence for rape.
He will also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and put on the Sexual Harm Register." Detective Sergeant Andy Todd expressed hope that the conviction would help bring some measure of relief to the victim, saying: "Although this positive result can never take away the harm that has been done, I hope this conviction provides some resolution to the pain that has been inflicted.
I would like to thank the victim and others for their support allowing us to put this dangerous individual in prison."
