JASON HARRIS SENTENCED IN EVESHAM FOR RAPE CASES AT WORCESTER CROWN COURT

In a significant legal development at Worcester Crown Court, Jason Harris, a 37-year-old resident of Peewit Road in Evesham, was formally sentenced to a term of seven years in prison following his conviction on two counts of rape.

The court's decision was announced on Tuesday, 9 January, marking a serious chapter in the ongoing efforts to address sexual offenses within the community.

Harris was found guilty of the two charges of rape, with the court ordering that these sentences run concurrently, effectively meaning he will serve the full seven-year term without reduction.

Additionally, the court imposed a restraining order lasting 15 years, specifically prohibiting Harris from approaching or contacting the female victim involved in the case, in an effort to protect her from further harm.

Despite the convictions, Harris was acquitted of other serious allegations.

The court cleared him of a separate rape charge and two sexual assault charges brought against a different woman.

Furthermore, he was also found not guilty of sexually assaulting a third woman, leading to a mixed outcome in the case.

As part of his sentencing, Harris was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
