ISLE OF WIGHT PUB BAN FOR MAN CONVICTED OF STALKING
A resident of the Isle of Wight has been instructed to avoid a pub after admitting to stalking a woman.Josh Younie, residing on Harding Road in Ryde, appeared before magistrates in Portsmouth on August 28, 2025.
He confessed to one charge of stalking that did not cause fear, alarm, or distress.
The police investigation revealed that his actions, which he was aware or should have been aware constituted harassment, took place between January 19 and February 13, involving a single woman.
In April, authorities issued a public appeal seeking information to locate Younie.
A police spokesperson warned that aiding Josh Younie by deliberately blocking efforts to find him could be a criminal offense, potentially leading to arrest.
Following their efforts, police successfully found and detained him.
He was then formally charged with the offense.
Younie, aged 34, has had his case put on hold to allow for a pre-sentence report.
His next court appearance is scheduled for November 20 at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates granted bail with conditions, including an order not to enter the Union Inn pub in Cowes.
