ISLE OF WIGHT MAN JAILED FOR 5 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE OFFENCES
A depraved Isle of Wight man, Jordan Canning, of Star Street, Ryde, was found guilty of committing numerous acts of sexual penetration against a girl.He appeared for sentencing via video link at Portsmouth Crown Court.
In May 2023, a jury was satisfied with Canning's guilt over three of four counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15.
The offences involved acts of sexual penetration against a girl and were committed in May 2023.
After a five-day trial, Recorder Malcolm Gibney sentenced Canning to five years in prison.
Additionally, he was subjected to a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a restraining order, which will remain until further notice.
