In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through Mansfield and the wider Nottinghamshire area, Jordan Gibson, a 38-year-old electrician, was found to have engaged in heinous acts involving underage girls. The investigation was triggered when a professional rewiring Gibson’s residence on Mansfield Road in Forest Town discovered incriminating evidence hidden within his home.

During the course of the electrical work, the technician uncovered a sinister manual labeled as a 'paedophile manual' concealed behind a wardrobe in Gibson’s bedroom. This document contained handwritten instructions directed at a 10-year-old girl, detailing explicit and disturbing actions he wished her to perform in nearby bushes. The content of the manual was not only graphic but also menacing, with warnings for the girl to keep silent about his intentions. Additionally, the manual falsely claimed that Gibson had served time in prison for murder, likely as a means to intimidate or manipulate.

Further evidence revealed that Gibson had hollowed out an empty shower gel bottle, transforming it into a covert camera device. This device was intended to secretly film underage girls, indicating a premeditated effort to exploit and record minors without their knowledge or consent. The combination of the hidden camera and the manual painted a disturbing picture of Gibson’s intentions and actions.

The case came to light last year when the police were alerted after the discovery of the manual and the camera device. Prosecutor Catherine Picardo explained that the manual contained explicit instructions aimed at a young girl, describing how she should engage in sexual acts in the bushes. The document was described as graphic and menacing, with Gibson allegedly observing the girl playing and expressing a desire to see her in compromising situations.

Gibson’s actions have led to serious legal consequences. Nottingham Crown Court heard that he would face a prison sentence, but the judge, Steven Coupland, decided to adjourn the sentencing until May 12 to allow Gibson two months to prepare. The judge emphasized the severity of the crimes, stating, “The paedophile manual is a fairly detailed set of words implicating that you would like to commit sexual acts and warned her not to tell anyone about it. I am not persuaded that it is anything other than immediate custody.”

However, acknowledging Gibson’s personal circumstances, including the terminal illness of his mother, the judge chose to delay the sentencing. The court’s decision underscores the gravity of the offenses committed by Gibson, who now faces the prospect of a lengthy prison term for his vile and predatory behavior in Mansfield and the surrounding areas.
