JOHN JOHNSTONE ANNAN SENTENCED IN CONNECTION WITH CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN ANNAN
John Johnstone, 65, of Annan, was targeted by members of Charlie's Angels in an online sting operation.
He was subsequently charged and found guilty of engaging in sexual communication with what he believed to be a 14-year-old boy, soliciting indecent images, and encouraging masturbation.
On 17/01/2025, John was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work, three years of supervised probation, and mandatory participation in the 'Moving Forward' program for three years.
Additionally, he was placed on the sex offenders register for three years.
Charlie's Angels group members successfully contributed to the investigation, with a member known as Charlie expressing congratulations for their efforts.
