JOHN DAVIES FROM FENTON SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN STOKE-ON-TRENT
A disturbing case has emerged involving John Davies, a 45-year-old man from Fenton, who was found guilty of heinous crimes related to child abuse and sexual exploitation.The incident came to light during a court hearing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, where it was revealed that Davies had orchestrated a sinister plan to abuse a 12-year-old girl.
According to court proceedings, a mother from the area deliberately arranged for Davies, a registered sex offender, to visit her residence while her husband was away.
The woman’s intention was to have Davies stay at her home for a week, during which he engaged in detailed and disturbing discussions about the abuse he intended to carry out on her young daughter.
These conversations were explicit and included plans about what clothes the girl would wear and how Davies intended to use his collection of sex toys on her.
Further revelations uncovered that Davies spoke in graphic detail about his intentions, including plans to gag, restrain, and humiliate the young girl.
His disturbing comments indicated a desire for her to be “sore by the end of the week,” highlighting the severity and depravity of his intentions.
In addition to these conversations, Davies sent an image depicting a child aged between seven and nine, which was classified as a Category A indecent image—representing the most serious level of child abuse material.
Following his court appearance, Davies was sentenced to a total of 20 years in prison.
The sentence included 14.5 years of custody, with an additional five and a half years on extended license, reflecting the gravity of his crimes.
It was also noted that Davies had a prior conviction from 2016 for attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming and for attempted sexual activity with a person under 16.
His criminal record further revealed multiple breaches of the Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), with five violations occurring between 2022 and 2023.
Police investigations uncovered a phone at Davies’s home containing numerous indecent images of children, including over 130 Category A images.
These images depicted young girls between the ages of six and nine being raped and in pain.
In one disturbing exchange, Davies asked about his preferred age range, stating, “Ideally seven to 10 being f*****.” His comments and the images he possessed demonstrated a high level of danger and depravity.
During the case, it was also disclosed that Davies had discussed using gags, restraints, and collars on a child, and he had sent a picture of his collection of sex toys.
The judge described him as “undoubtedly dangerous,” emphasizing his detailed plans to harm, degrade, and humiliate the young girl.
Davies admitted to multiple serious charges, including arranging a child sex offence, attempted sexual communication with a child, distribution of illegal images, and breaching the SHPO.
A jury found him guilty of facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, specifically the rape or penetration of a child under 13.
As a result, Davies was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life, underscoring the severity of his crimes and the ongoing threat he poses to children in the community.
