POLICE INSPECTOR CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF RAPE AND GBH
A police officer from the Metropolitan Police has been formally charged with two counts of rape and one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.Inspector Jason Wu, assigned to the detention unit and based in Colindale, northwest London, is scheduled to appear before Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The charges pertain to alleged incidents involving a woman in August 2019 and October 2021, which were reported to the Met in June 2022.
Wu, who has been suspended from his duties, was formally charged through a postal requisition on May 15.
The case was investigated by Metropolitan Police detectives who specialize in public protection.
