Over a span of two years, beginning in 2024, he subjected the victim to sexual abuse and blackmail.
Detective Constable Daniel Auchincloss from the Sexual Offences Investigation Team commented: “This case highlights how offenders can exploit children through false online identities, deception, and coercion.
We urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse or violence to come forward and report it, regardless of how much time has passed.” The jury deliberated for three hours and seventeen minutes before reaching unanimous guilty verdicts on all charges.
Mavinga is scheduled to be sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on September 29.
