A 26-year-old man from Pontypool has been sentenced to a community order following his involvement in the possession and viewing of indecent images of children.

Jamie Wilkins, who resides in New Inn, pleaded guilty to charges related to the creation and possession of such material, which included extreme content, spanning the years from 2010 to 2015.

The police investigation was initiated after Wilkins was identified through online forensic analysis, leading to the discovery of the illicit images stored on his devices.

Authorities confirmed that the images depicted minors in various compromising and exploitative situations, prompting serious legal action.
