PONTYPOOL STALKER BOMBARDED WOMAN WITH 143 MESSAGES
A STALKER who bombarded a woman with 143 messages in the space of 24 hours and turned up at her home uninvited has been jailed.
Gordon Watkins, 42, from Pontypool was also locked up for aggravated vehicle taking in a Ford Fiesta on the A40, A449 and the A4042.
The defendant was sent to prison for 40 weeks by Judge Eugene Egan at Cardiff Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to the offences which took place between May 1, 2024 and July 11, 2024.
Watkins, formerly of Maple Crescent, Sebastopol was banned from driving for 12 months following his release from custody and made the subject of a restraining order.
A £187 surcharge will also be payable.
