PONTYPOOL MAN GUILTY OF SEXUAL ASSAULT ON WOMAN AFTER TRIAL
A MAN has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman.Gareth Betts, 47, from Pontypool was convicted following a trial at Newport Magistrates' Court.
The defendant, of Parc Panteg, Griffithstown committed the offence earlier this year.
He was sentenced to a community order and must complete a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement and observe a 90-day alcohol abstinence and monitoring requirement.
Betts was made the subject of a 12-month restraining order not to contact his victim and must pay £650 costs and a £114 surcharge.
