TEACHER BANNED FROM PROFESSION INDEFINITELY
A Tribunal Regulatory Authority (TRA) conducted a hearing on December 17, 2025, to review serious allegations against Mr.James Wall.
The issues under consideration stemmed from a notice of proceedings issued on May 21, 2025, which accused him of inappropriate professional behavior and actions that could tarnish the reputation of his profession.
The allegations focused on his conduct while employed as the Director of Music at Lucton School.
It was claimed that during July and August 2022, Mr.
Wall engaged in several inappropriate actions involving a student, Pupil A, including requesting her to follow him on Instagram, exchanging private messages that included personal and sexual content, asking her to send a photograph, using a nickname to hide his identity, urging her to delete message exchanges, and giving her a gift or birthday card.
Furthermore, from approximately 2018 to August 2022, it was alleged that Mr.
Wall shared personal information about himself with Pupil A, inquired about her relationships, discussed a friend’s sexual relationship with a teacher, and paid close attention to her clothing.
The same period also saw him touching Pupil A inappropriately, including grabbing her waist, placing his arm around her, and nearly touching her breasts without adequate care.
Around 2018, Mr.
Wall was accused of sharing personal details with Pupil B, a recent graduate, connecting with her on Facebook, and exchanging messages of a personal or sexual nature.
The conduct listed in the allegations was described as sexually motivated and included acts of dishonesty and a lack of integrity.
As a result, Mr.
Wall was banned from teaching indefinitely, and he is prohibited from working in any educational or youth facilities within England.
