CHATHAM PERVERT WITH OVER 1,000 INDECENT IMAGES TO BE SENTENCED AT MAIDSTONE CROWN COURT
A pervert found with more than 1,000 indecent images on his devices has admitted downloading the vile pictures.James Thurston was discovered with a total of 1,182 indecent images of all categories on his devices when police visited his residence in Chatham.
The 23-year-old’s home was searched on August 14 last year, revealing 326 Category A images, 531 Category B images, and 325 Category C images on his devices.
Thurston, of Chatham Grove, was later charged and pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 5.
The district judge stated the case was too serious for magistrates to handle and referred it to Maidstone Crown Court for sentencing.
A pre-sentencing report was ordered, and Thurston was instructed to comply with notification requirements of the Sex Offenders Register within three days of the court decision.
He was granted bail until sentencing, with the date to be determined.
