PERVERTED PENSIONER 'PINCHED FOUR-YEAR-OLD GIRL'S BOTTOM' IN SUPERMARKET
A senior citizen has been convicted of sexual assault after he was caught pinching the bottom of a four-year-old girl inside a supermarket, though he will not serve immediate jail time.James Biddle, aged 87, denied the charges of sexually assaulting a child under 13, and he appeared before Worcester Crown Court for the trial on Wednesday, April 9.
The court was informed that on April 6 of the previous year, he was present at the Co-op store in Leominster when he noticed a young girl accompanied by her parents.
He proceeded along the aisle, stopping directly behind them, then deliberately bent over in his mobility chair and pinched the child's bottom through her clothing.
Before she could respond, Biddle removed his glove and repeated the act, pinching her again.
He had no prior connection to the girl or her family.
The court sentenced him to three months in prison, suspended for one year, and ordered him to register as a sex offender.
Additionally, he is required to pay £500 in costs.
PC Laura Stobbart, officer in the case, said: "I wish to commend the victim in this case who showed incredible tenacity, strength, and courage.
We also must recognise the bravery of her parents.
During the incident, the defendant was located and arrested in a timely manner and we hope that this and the outcome at court will demonstrate to the public how seriously such a crime is taken.
We want to do everything in our power to bring offenders to justice and stop young women being subject to such a horrible crime."
