CONVICTED PAEDOPHILE WAS CHOSEN AS A PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE BY REFORM UK
A former police sergeant convicted of possessing explicit images of minors is among four candidates who have been withdrawn by the Reform Party following an investigation by the Mail on Sunday.Jack Denny, aged 26, was chosen as a Reform UK parliamentary hopeful three years after he completed a jail sentence for separate fraud charges.
However, at the time of his selection, he was still listed on the Sex Offenders Register.
Denny, who previously served as a prison officer and a special police sergeant in Leicestershire, was campaigning to represent Leeds Central and Headingley.
His campaign materials highlighted his experience in policing and the prison system.
In February 2019, Denny was convicted of possessing two images one of a boy aged between 15 and 17, and another of a girl between 10 and 12 found on a USB stick at his residence in Hinckley.
He received a 12-month community order and was registered as a sex offender for five years.
