HINCKLEY PAEDOPHILE DANNY HAYWARD SENTENCED TO 3 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Danny Hayward, a resident of Sisley Road in Hinckley, has been sentenced to a three-year prison term following his guilty plea to a series of serious child sex offences.The sentencing took place on June 16, 2025, at Leicester Crown Court, where the court heard disturbing details about his criminal activities spanning over a significant period.
Hayward had previously admitted to nine separate charges related to the abuse and exploitation of children.
Among these charges was the heinous act of repeatedly raping a 14-year-old girl.
In addition, he faced multiple allegations concerning the creation, possession, and distribution of indecent images of children, which further underscored the severity of his crimes.
The court was informed that in 2022, following his arrest, Hayward was found in possession of a large collection of over 400 indecent images of children.
These images were particularly disturbing, including photographs of newborn babies, young children, and even images involving neglected animals being subjected to sexual abuse.
The evidence presented painted a grim picture of the extent of his offending.
During the sentencing hearing, the court considered character references submitted by several members of Hayward’s family and friends, who spoke in his favor.
However, the court acknowledged that his criminal activities were committed over an extended period and across multiple locations, including various addresses in Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
Hayward pleaded guilty to multiple charges, which included two counts of penetrative sexual activity with a child, contrary to Section 9(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
He also admitted to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child, in violation of Section 1(1)(a) of the Protection of Children Act 1978, as well as taking indecent photographs of a child under the same legislation.
Further charges included possession of a prohibited image of a child, contrary to Section 62(1) of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, and possession of an extreme pornographic image, in breach of Section 63(1) of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.
Additionally, he was found guilty of showing an indecent photograph of a child, again under the Protection of Children Act 1978.
Following his conviction, Hayward was placed on the sex offenders register and was immediately taken into custody to serve his three-year sentence.
The court’s decision reflects the gravity of his crimes and the ongoing concern for the safety and protection of children in the community.
