IMRAN AYYAZ SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN DARWEN: A DANGEROUS OFFENDER'S CRIME REVEALED
On the 30th of July, 2023, a distressing incident unfolded at a property in Darwen, where a woman was awakened to find Imran Ayyaz engaging in a sexual assault against her.Despite her desperate and repeated pleas for him to cease his actions, Ayyaz continued his assault until the victim's loud shout prompted him to stop.

Ayyaz was taken into custody the very next day, and during police interviews, he maintained a premeditated denial, refusing to answer any further questions posed by the officers.

The legal proceedings culminated at Preston Crown Court, where Ayyaz faced a jury.
Despite his steadfast denial, the jury found him guilty of the charges on Friday, April 11th, 2025.

Yesterday, Ayyaz was sentenced to a term of seven years in prison.
The court also mandated that he register as a sex offender for life, a measure intended to protect the community and prevent future offenses.

DC Alyson Richards, who was involved in the case, issued a statement condemning Ayyaz's actions.

Richards pointed out that Ayyaz lied throughout both the police interview and the trial, but the jury was able to see through his deception and ultimately convicted him.
